I didn't think I'd make a blog post like this again, and it's only been 6 days since the last one... but here we are.

Hello everyone, welcome to the random blog post that happens once in a blue moon... unfortunately not a good one though.

No fancy thumbnail again, I'm just too tired.

This month only just started and it's already a rough one... not just this month but the year in general so far to be honest.

I'm pretty much sure you know what's this about (you can look at the blog post title) but with everything that happened recently I'll be once again discussing the future of my online presence, how I'm gonna manage it in the future and some other stuff.

Let's get right to it with explaining what happened for those who somehow have no idea what happened first.

Lately Bluesky has been really buggy a lot... then a couple of days later it turned out that back in February one of the Bluesky Staff Members, Why (yes that's their name) has bragged how until December of last year they were using LLMs as fancy autocomplete for coding... and how in the past two months Claude has written about 99% of their code... basically AI bullshit. Which explains everything. You can see it for yourself in the screenshot below :)

A screenshot of a Bluesky post from the staff member Why:
Until December of last year I was using LLMs as fancy autocomplete for coding. It was nice for scaffolding out boilerplate, or giving me a gut check on some things, or banging out some boring routine stuff.

In the past two months Claude has written about 99% of my code. Things are changing. Fast

A day later they've been having a meltdown in replies to angry people, and the cherry on the top was... them saying "It's always the "artists" with poorly drawn cartoon PFPs". We literally keep your breaking site alive, you clowns.

Last night Bluesky was broken once again with media not showing up, like it was never uploaded... thankfully it got fixed but now you see how all of this crap makes the site breaking too often. Maybe if you'd actually learn how to code and not let AI writing it none of this would keep happening, just a suggestion you know :)

The entire Bluesky Staff Team is the one whole circus.

With age verification keeping on spreading it just adds up to already dying internet.

I already said it very recently on my private Xitter account, but I'll say it here too: social media sucks now. It's not fun anymore. It's just soulless and full of greedy corporate people that don't wanna think about their userbase and its feelings.

The internet is dying slowly but painfully with age verification, stupid bills, evil people in power and sites being ran by a bunch of tech bros/idiots. It's so sad to see how it seems to be closer to the end at this point.

I just came here to post my art, talk about stuff, be a silly bunpaca on the internet... I just wanted to be here for my friends... we all are.

So... what's next, Lerun? What are you gonna do now? Does that mean it's the end of your journey?

At the moment I'm gonna keep doing my thing, in other words I'm not leaving. It's still too early to give up. I'm gonna keep using Bluesky despite everything because I'm tired of running away and jumping ships over and over again. I wanna keep being a silly bunpaca on the internet so I'm gonna do that.

However... please understand that if things will keep getting worse I may have to rethink on how I manage my online presence. I'm honestly really tired of social media and you already know why.

I still won't be returning on other sites mainly because it feels too hard to manage being everywhere at the same time, especially with the fact that PostyBirb isn't letting people in my country to access the site... and they just don't have the same feeling as Bluesky does. That's just the harsh truth.

I'm still gonna try my best to get into coding as well this year so I can finally start working on my Nekoweb page. As you may know it's been something that I've been planning for a while and with Bluesky falling apart it may be the time.

I'm still gonna be making art as well because it's the only thing that keeps me sane especially during those dark times, however if I do end up leaving because of obvious reasons I may honestly quit it because it's not fun while you won't be able to share it anymore because of internet's death. I really hope it won't happen though but I'm pretty much preparing for the worst as well.

Thank you all so much for reading this blog post.

I know it's been a long one but I'm glad you read it until the end.

Please make sure to take care of yourself. Don't forget to stretch, hydrate, eat proper meals and rest well. Don't work too hard and don't scroll social media too much. Check on your friends and loved ones.

And always remember: love is stronger than hate!

I'll see you in the next blog post, whenever that is.
